LAUSANNE, November 4, 2022 – Submission period for the 2022 edition of the AIPS Sport Media Awards has officially closed on November 4, 18:00 Central European Time.

The fifth edition of the most prestigious international prize for sports journalism received more than 1800 submissions from 138 nationalities representing the five continents, a new record! 

AIPS is humbled and honoured for such high level of participation. The Awards enter now the review period in which authors might be contacted if any missing material needs to be added in their submissions. 

Once all submissions are admitted, the judging panel will start reviewing and placing the candidates for longlist (phase 1). Then, the EC members will vote and narrow down the candidates into a shortlist (Phase 2). The Jury will then take over and choose the Top 10 finalists (Phase 3), Podium Nominees (Phase 4) and winners (Phase 5). 

All entrants will receive the digital certificate of participation.

The final ceremony will take place in Seoul, South Korea, a day before the AIPS Congress in May 2023, with the podium nominees across all categories. 

AIPS will publish regular updates on the voting stages. 

After the ceremony, Continental Rankings will also be unveiled.
